Hey Guys!

 

I’m excited to share some preliminary details for our upcoming overnight run before sign-ups open tomorrow at cruisersontherocks.com. This is going to be an unforgettable adventure with great trails, awesome views, and plenty of good times with the group!

 

We’ll start with a Sunday morning departure from Salida, enjoy a solid off-road drive to Gunnison, set up camp on the shores of Blue Mesa Reservoir, and then continue on to Silverton Monday morning.

 

Here’s the Plan:

 

Sunday

We’ll meet up in Salida in the morning to fuel up, then head out on the trails. We’ll be on dirt most of the morning and into the afternoon with light wheeling and some fantastic views. This route is very approachable — even stock rigs will do great.

 

Once we reach Gunnison, we’ll fuel up, air up, and make the short paved drive to our campsite at Blue Mesa Reservoir.

 

Tim from Gamiviti and his friends are generously cooking dinner for the group Sunday night. Bring a camp chair, and we’ll have beer and soft drinks for everyone. If there’s no fire ban, we’ll gather around a bonfire for some fun. Firestone Tires is also pitching in to help make the party unforgettable, so who knows what will happen!

 

Monday

We’ll split into two groups:

  • I’ll lead an earlier group aiming to reach Silverton around noon.

  • The second group will leave a bit later, giving everyone time for breakfast, packing up, and maybe a quick swim in the lake. They’ll arrive in Silverton by 4pm at the latest.

 

Each group will choose between Cinnamon Pass or Engineer Pass based on how the day feels.

 

Fuel won't be an issue (Salida Sunday morning and Gunnison Sunday afternoon). We’ll provide dinner Sunday night, but please plan for your own lunches, snacks, and Monday breakfast.

 

Sign-ups open tomorrow June 1 at 12:00 PM MDT with 14 driver spots available. Each registration covers one truck and as many guests as you can comfortably fit.

 

Priority order:

  • COTR5 attendees get first shot on Monday at 12pm MDT

  • Cruisers on the Rockies 2 attendees on Tuesday at 12pm MDT

  • Cruisers on the Rockies 3 registrants (if spots remain) on Wednesday at 12pm MDT

 

This run is our special thank you to all the awesome East Coast crew who travel so far to join the fun — we really appreciate you!
