In this email I’m gonna break down all the event activities and what to expect each night. Get ready — this year’s Cruisers on the Rockies is shaping up to be another absolute blast with the best crew on four wheels.

 

Cruisers on the Rockies has always been about way more than trucks and trails. It’s about this rowdy, welcoming community that feels like extended family. We work hard to bring everyone together so you can make friendships that last long after the dust settles and the coolers are empty. I genuinely think of COTR as my big, crazy extended family — the kind that shows up ready to share stories, laughs, and cold drinks around the fire.

 

Monday – Welcome Party & Cookout (Let’s Kick This Off Right)

The Monday Night Welcome Party and Cookout fires up at 6pm at the Lodge. We’ll have the grills rolling with hamburgers and hotdogs piled high with all the trimmings. The drink trough will be overflowing with ice-cold beer, water, and sodas. Multiple fire pits will be blazing, creating that perfect mix of chill vibes and high energy to meet new friends and catch up with old trail buddies. This is where the magic starts — come hungry, come thirsty, and come ready to kick off an unforgettable week.

 

Tuesday – Breakfast, Swap Meet & Whiskey on the Rocks

Perry Parts is once again hooking everyone up with a solid breakfast from 8am–9am up at the lodge: bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, water, and juice to power you through the day.

 

Then the Cruisers on the Rockies Swap Meet rolls in at 5pm and runs until 6:30pm. We’ll line trucks up in the lodge parking area — drop the tailgate, set up a table, or spread a blanket and show off whatever you’re selling or trading.

 

Right after the swap meet, Whiskey on the Rocks by Gamiviti takes over the lodge deck starting at 7pm. Tim from Gamiviti will have some nice whiskeys to share, and a few of our Crockies Trail Leaders will be pouring too. Everyone is encouraged to come up, join the fun, and bring your favorite bottle to share — the more the merrier! It’s the perfect way to unwind and swap stories under the Colorado sky.

 

Wednesday – Potluck Night and Beer Share + Dissent Off-Road Cornhole Tournament

Breakfast again from Perry Parts (same killer spread) 8am–9am.

 

The Potluck Night and Beer Share runs from 6pm–7:30pm at the lodge pavilion. Bring your favorite camp dish and a 6-pack of your favorite beer to add to the trough! We’ll set the food up on tables and ice down all the beer so everyone can help themselves. Your dish can be as simple or fancy as you want — it’s all about sharing what you love with good people. No pressure, no contest, just good fun.

 

To give you an idea of the kind of spread we usually see, here are some of the awesome dishes folks have brought in the past:

 

• smoked cheese dip

• ham sandwiches

• fire-roasted sausage

• gumbo

• store-bought cookies

• dirty rice

• green beans

• peanut butter and banana sandwiches

• pecan pie

• chili (you can never have too much)

• jalapeno sliders

• store-bought rolls

• veggie trays

• tamales

• grilled chicken wings

• shrimp (all kinds of ways)

 

The Trail Leaders will work hard to get everyone back to camp early enough Wednesday afternoon so you have time to prep. Bring any slow cooker that needs power up to the lodge anytime Wednesday — we’ll make sure it’s plugged in. We’ll also have the smoker fired up around noon Wednesday for anyone who wants to use it or set a dish or Dutch oven on it. Plenty of room.

Just remember: you’re not feeding an army. Everyone’s sharing. We’ll provide plates, bowls, silverware, napkins, and soft drinks. All you need is your dish with a serving utensil, your 6-pack, and an appetite!

 

Right after the potluck, the Dissent Off-Road Cornhole Tournament kicks off around 7pm and runs till it’s done. If you’re playing, grab your plate quick before the bags start flying! It’ll be set up right outside the lodge (rain plan ready). Beer trough and solo stoves will be going strong. Wednesday night is all about good food, friendly competition, and mixing new friends with old ones. I promise — this is a night you do not want to miss.

 

Thursday – BBQ Dinner & Driver Raffle

Breakfast one last time from Perry Parts, 8am–9am.

 

At 6pm we’re serving up a proper BBQ Dinner — pulled pork and BBQ chicken with all the trimmings. Bring your appetite and settle in for a relaxed, delicious meal with your trail family.

 

Immediately after dinner, the Cruisers on the Rockies Driver Raffle gets underway. Targeted raffle items will be set up with clear drop boxes so you can put your targeted ticket on whatever you actually want. There’s also the big general raffle container for every driver’s general ticket. We’ll alternate draws between targeted and general to keep it fair and fun.

 

Our sponsors put a ton of money and heart into supporting Crockies and this raffle. The targeted system means nobody ends up with a prize they don’t need or want. We just ask that you only take what you’ll actually use. During the general raffle, if you win something that isn’t your thing, just yell “Put it back!!!” — we’ll redraw and toss your ticket back in for another shot. It’s our way of making sure the good stuff goes to folks who’ll love it while showing massive appreciation to the sponsors who give so much back to our community.

 

Beer trough and solo stoves will be fired up during and after the raffle. What an epic way to wrap up an awesome week!

 

Friday – Clean Up & Roll Out

Clean up and head home. No camping in the event area Friday night. We need everyone out by 11am. Please give us a hand and tidy up around your camp spot — it’ll be hugely appreciated as we close out another great event.

 

We’ll have meals every night except Tuesday. We wanted to give everyone a chance to support Silverton’s local economy — hit up some great restaurants or grab groceries from the Silverton Grocery to cook back at camp. Just make sure you’re back in time for Whiskey on the Rocks!
