Hey COTR Fam —
Excited to share the camping details for COTR5! Whether you’re a seasoned cruiser or it’s your first time, here’s what you need to know.
-
Primitive camping is included with your registration — no extra sign-ups. You DO NOT have to stop at the camp office; just roll into the COTR camping field (a big open space bordered by woods) and set up where you like.
-
Facilities are basic: no hookups, no permanent fire rings, no tables. Campfires are allowed; bring or buy local firewood (vendors near the park are usually cash-only).
-
Campers and travel trailers are welcome in the event camping area — plenty of room to park and set up.
-
Need a shower? A clean, modern shower house and bathrooms are a short walk from the event area and open 24/7. You’ll get the access code when you check in at the pavilion.
-
The pavilion is your hub for registration, breakfast, activities, and dinners — stop by there first.
-
Running low on supplies? Oliver Springs is about a mile away for gas and small groceries; Oak Ridge (4 miles) has Walmart, Kroger, restaurants, and more. If camping isn’t your thing, several national hotels are close by.
-
We’ll have multiple Solo Stoves lit at the pavilion each night if you want to hang by a communal fire.
-
Join the COTR Facebook Group to ask questions, meet folks, and follow trail updates.
More details coming soon on trail selection, the Dissent Off-Road Cornhole Tournament, the Potluck Dinner, the Swap Meet, the Welcome Party, and the rest of the schedule. Watch your inbox!
See you in October — ready to party!!!
