Hey Guys! In this email I'll go over event activities and what to expect each night.
Cruisers on the Rockies is designed to be just as much about the people in the community as it is the trucks and trails. We work hard to get people together so they have the opportunity to make friendships that will last a lifetime. I like to think of COTR as my extended family.
Monday
-
Kick off the fun with the Monday Night Welcome Party and Cook-Out, proudly sponsored by Slee Off-Road! This year, we’re bringing back last year's “Maiden Voyage" theme with a twist—a “Yacht Rock” vibe! So, grab your favorite yachting outfit and cruise on over to the lodge for a night of smooth sailing and good times! Whether you keep it casual with a simple shirt or go all out in a full costume, we can't wait to see your style! If you don’t know about Yacht Rock attire check it out here yacht rock attire

We will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs with all the trimmings for everyone. We'll also have the drink trough full of beer, water, sodas, and even hot chocolate. There will be several fire pits blazing and it will be a great time to meet new friends and catch up with old buddies.
-
We will have a photo area setup during the Welcome Party for anyone that wants to get a snapshot to remember! If you're not into Yacht Rock attire, don't worry, come as you are! You don't need a special outfit to eat, drink, and enjoy the party! Either way I promise it will be a blast!
Tuesday
-
Breakfast provided by Perry Parts will be served for everyone from 8a-9a up at the lodge and will include bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, water and juice.
-
The Cruisers on the Rockies Swap Meet will start at 5p and run until 6:30p. We will line trucks up in the parking area of the lodge and you can drop the tailgate, set up a table, or spread a blanket to display whatever you're selling!
-
Whiskey on the Rocks by Gamiviti will be on the deck of the lodge and will start at 7p after the Swap Meet. Tim from Gamiviti will have some nice whiskeys to share as will some of the Crockies Trail Leaders. Everyone is encouraged to come up and join the fun and even bring your favorite bottle to share!
Wednesday
-
Breakfast provided by Perry Parts will be served for everyone from 8a-9a up at the lodge and will include bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, water and juice.
-
The Potluck Dinner will be from 6p-7:30p at the lodge. We are asking everyone to bring their favorite camp dish and favorite 6-pack to the pavilion for a night of sharing! We will set the food up on the tables and put the beer on ice so everyone can help themselves. Your dish can be as simple or as fancy as you want. For several years at the HIH Potluck, I took two of my favorite things: pimento cheese sandwiches and a 6-pack of Busch Light. Here are some examples of what we've seen at different potlucks:
-
smoked cheese dip
-
ham sandwiches
-
fire-roasted sausage
-
gumbo
-
store-bought cookies
-
dirty rice
-
green beans
-
peanut butter and banana sandwiches
-
pecan pie
-
chili (can't ever have too much of that)
-
jalapeno sliders
-
store-bought rolls
-
veggie trays
-
tamales
-
grilled chicken wings
-
shrimp (all kinds of ways)

-
The Trail Leaders will work to get everyone back to camp Wednesday afternoon to prepare for the potluck. If you have a slow cooker that needs to be plugged in you can bring it up to the lodge anytime Wednesday morning or afternoon and we will make sure it has power. We will also be firing up the smoker around noon on Wednesday just to have it available for anyone that would like to cook something on it or put a dish or dutch oven on it. There should be plenty of room on the event smoker.
-
Just remember, it's about what you like, not the crowd. Also remember, you aren't feeding an army; everyone is sharing, no need for huge dishes. No pressure or contest, just good fun. We will be providing plates, bowls, silverware, napkins, and soft drinks.. All you need to do is bring a dish with serving utensil, a 6-pack, and an appetite!
-
The Dissent Off-Road Cornhole Tournament is set to start directly after the potluck and run until completion. We plan to start the tournament around 7p so if you are playing in the tournament make sure to grab a plate before the throwing begins! The tournament will be held right outside the lodge. If there's rain, we will have a contingency plan in place. The beer trough and solo stoves will be going strong during the tournament. Wednesday night will be all about sharing and friendly competition between new and old friends. I can promise you, it's a night you don't want to miss.
Thursday
-
Breakfast provided by Perry Parts will be served for everyone from 8a-9a up at the lodge and will include bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, water and juice.
-
The BBQ Dinner sponsored by Air Down Gear Up will start at 6p. We will be having BBQ pulled pork and BBQ chicken with all the trimmings so make sure you bring an appetite. It will be a great opportunity to sit down, relax, and enjoy a meal with all your friends!
-
The Cruisers on the Rockies Driver Raffle will start directly after dinner. Targeted raffle items will be set up on a table with a clear drop box for each item. After eating, drivers will be able to look at targeted items and drop their targeted ticket on whatever item they like. There will also be a large clear container that every driver will drop their general ticket into. Once the raffle starts, we will alternate drawing tickets for both the targeted and general raffle.
-
Our sponsors in the community put a lot of money into supporting Crockies and the Crockies Driver Raffle. We do the targeted raffle so no one will get a large prize they don't want or need. We ask that you not sell any of the raffle prizes; only accept what you need or can use. During the general raffle, if you win a prize you don't need, just yell for us to “Put it back!!!” Then we will draw another ticket for that prize and put your ticket back in the general raffle for another shot. As a community, we want to make sure everyone gets a chance to win something they can use while also protecting our sponsors that give so much back to us.
-
During and after the raffle we will have the beer trough and solo stoves fired up as usual. It will be an epic end to an awesome event!!!
Friday
-
Clean up and depart. There will not be any camping in the event area Friday night. We need to make sure everyone is up and out by 11a. Please give us a hand and clean up around your camp spot. It will definitely be appreciated
We will have meals every night except Tuesday. We decided to give everyone the chance Tuesday night to support the local economy by trying some of the great restaurants in Silverton or to buy some supplies and groceries from the Silverton Grocery to cook at camp. Just remember to get it done in time to join Tim for Whiskey on the Rocks by Gamiviti!
As always, if you have any questions the Cruisers on the Rocks Facebook Group is a great place to ask. Next up will be an email covering trail selection which should hopefully open next week. We are less than a month out now and I'm SUPER excited! See you soon!!
